Disposal of Uranium Oxide

Does anyone know of an inexpensive disposal company that will take uranium 
oxide.  A member of the public discovered two small vials of uranium oxide in 
his father's garage after his passing.  He called one company in the area, 
and because one of the vials contains an unknown liquid, they consider it 
mixed waste and are not licensed to handle it.  One of the vials contains 
what appears to be pure black uranium oxide and the other several chips in 
liquid.  

Any help would be appreciated.
