Re: Testimony of Steve Wing to US House of Representatives

Some of you may be aware that Health Physics Society (HPS) President 
Paul Rohwer also gave testimony before the House Science Subcommittee 
on Energy and Environment on July 18 on the "Linear No-Threshold Model 
of Low-dose Radiation." His five-minute oral testimony consisted of major 
points extracted from his written testimony.  The title of the hearing was 
"Reexamining the Scientific Basis for the LNT Model for Low Dose 
Radiation."  Testimony was also given by Senator Pete Domenici, NCRP 
President Charles Meinhold, and Ms. Gary Jone from the Government 
Accounting Office .
