Regulation of bottled water

This is a response to the question on import of bottled water and possible
contaminants.   Regulation of bottled water falls under the jurisdiction of
the Food and Drug Administration, rather than EPA.  However the FDA has
historically used EPA criteria to avoid confusion.  I suggest you contact
Henry Kim in the FDA's Regulations and Enforcement Branch, Center for Food
Safety and Applied Nutrition.
