WNY Chapter meeting, Sept 5



The next meeting of the Western NY Chapter will be at the Quality Inn in
Syracuse on September 5 from 10:30 until 3:30.  Lunch will include an
open-face steak sandwich and side dishes.  The agenda is:

-Business meeting
-President-Elect George Anastas' chapter visit
-Joe Gong "A Life-long, wide-range radiation biodosimeter:  Erythrocytes
with transferrin receptors" (for a preview, see Joe's paper in the December,
1999 issue of Health Physics)
-Regulator's hour (or however long it takes)

The agenda for the business meeting is not yet set.  To reach the Quality
Inn on Buckley Road:

Travel East on Route 90 to exit 36
Bear right to enter route 81 S - do NOT merge with traffic
Exit 81 at exit 25 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp
Turn right at the first traffic light onto Buckley Road, the Quality Inn is
on the right

Attendees will be charged $5.00 per person, but it's a bargain at any price!
A mailing will be sent to all Chapter members by the end of this week.

Finally, a reminder that the last WNY Chapter meeting of this year will be
on November 9; we are please to announce that Dr. Bernard Cohen will be
present as an invited speaker.
