Hi Peter,
The Cold Fusion technique was flawed as not even the authors
could repeat it. That is the second requirement of the Scientific
Method and they failed it. But some theoretical physicists such
as Nobel prize winner Julian Schwinger think that it should still
be possible but at very low rates, maybe at too low rates to be
seen experimentally.
