International Isotopes Inc (I3), a manufacturer and distributor of
radiochemicals, finished radiopharmaceuticals and medical devices used for
diagnosis and treatment of disease, has a full-time opening for a Health
Physicist to work at their facilities in Denton, Texas.  Interested

The role of the Health Physicist at I3 includes taking a proactive approach
to maintaining the safety and health of workers, the public and the
environment, fostering communication and information flow throughout the
organization and empowering others to make decisions that are in the best
interest of their safety and those around them.  The Health Physicist also
seeks to enhance individual development and company teamwork as a routine
method of operation and incorporates state regulations and company
procedures to ensure the company continues to provide quality products in a
safe working environment. 

Responsibilities include serving as a contact in the case of
accidents/emergencies, maintaining, implementing and developing internal
procedures related to radiation safety, conducting annual reviews of the
radiation safety program to ensure compliance and applicability and
assisting the Radiation Safety Officer with various issues/concerns as they
arise.  Assist with control and minimization of risk involved in
radiological hazards, assuring that the safety and compliance requirements
are met for use, storage, shipment, receipt and transport of radioactive
material.  The health physicist aids other personnel in finding solutions to
safety problems and maintaining compliance with the regulations.

Minimum qualifications include a B.S. degree in Health Physics or related
field and three to five years of  experience in Health Physics.  Must be
able to interpret and apply the regulations for working with/around
radioactive material.  Must be familiar with basic computer applications,
environmental/personnel monitoring, instrumentation, radiation safety
training, lasers, accelerators, and shipping/receiving of radioactive
material.

Salary Range:  $48,500 to $67,000
