Age based dose limit
Another, not so minor point to remember is the age based limit is based on
a real, whole body exposure (and a LNT model which we will ignore at this
point).
Remember that the NRC dose record reflects a dose purposefully biased on
the high side since, among other things, it reflects the highest exposed
point of the body. Hence in many cases does reflect a similar risk. So
limiting work based on this record relative to the age limit would really
seem to be excessively conservative.
