I would like to inform you on the radiation safety aspects that I did not mention in my previous email. There is a radiation safety committee which looks after radiation safety issues and I am the new secretary of this committee. I have gone through the radiation safety file and find quite a few details now.That is there are guidelines for proper radiowaste management as proposed by nuclear regulatory authority in Pakistan and many other details on management of radiation protection and safety. I have recently joined this hospital and things will further improve as we will be going for JCIA accreditation. There have been seminars on radiation protection in the past with which I was unaware as I joined recently. Personnel monitoring is being improved from routine film badges to TLD and many other things including future plans for periodic radiation training sessions.
