Looking for Commercial Gamma Irradiator Facilities
All,
We have been assisting a customer in investigating the enhancement of
material properties for a component. The research phase of the work is
coming to an end, and the customer is looking for commercial irradiations
of the component.
Looking for two commercial irradiators capable of providing irradiations
of 10,000 Rad to the components. The exposure variation over the packages
and batch will have a fairly tight range acceptability (still being
determined). The packaging will probably be about 12" x 12" x 1" and will
consist of up to 100 packages. The entire set of packages will encompass
several cubic feet of material, between one and two per week, 52 weeks per
year.
Those facilities which believe that they have an irradiator capable of
performing these irradiations, please provide information on your facility
to me directly. Additionally, evidence of a commercial NRC irradiator
license will be required prior to contract award.
Wish I could provide more details, but they are still being worked out. As
they become available, they will be provided to interested parties.
Please don't respond to the list server. THANKS!
Respectfully,
