He's not naive..he's right... that decision SHOULD be based on sound science and not politics...

Yet more proof of Bush's political naivete.  ANY decision made about
nuclear energy in today's political climate WILL be made with politics
firmly in charge.  No politico is going to shoot his career in the foot by
backing science.  The people don't trust scientists, they DO trust doctors
and lawyers and the media.  This above all things shows the current state
of society.
