It is with great pleasure that I announce the availability of three jobs
with
the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC).  The jobs are listed with a
generic EHS job description (This is a new approach to safety management
that
we are implementing).  We are STRONGLY encouraging persons with
health physics, safety engineering with a strong scientific background,
safety training or laser and RF safety backgrounds and work experience to
apply.  The jobs are listed at the introductory professional level with a
salary grade of K, minimum starting salary of $44,400. Complete grade

MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: $44,400/annually

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Under general supervision, the selected candidate(s) will

support the UCSC community and facilitate campus safety and health

activities. This will require the candidate(s) to evaluate health and safety

hazards in a variety of work locations and support facilities according to

environmental, health and safety principles and legal requirements. They
will

perform professional duties in several major areas of the campus

environmental health and safety program including general occupational
safety

and ergonomics; laboratory safety; and hazardous materials management.
