In a report dated 7/14/00 from GAO the Senator says "The more we look at it
the more we're coming to the conclusion that it's absolutely irrational."
	This statement was from the GAO audit between NRC and EPA site release
limits.  He was talking about the EPA 4 mrem/yr ground water limits and the
unnecessary cost escalation.  Also mentioned was a strong desire to have the
to agencies agree an a reasonable limit, or turn everything over to one
agency.

"If we keep doing what we're doing, we'll keep getting what we're
getting."
