I don't see how we can blame the media for this (and hundreds of similar
events). The facts are: Scientist(s) studied this situation and reached
this conclusion. Media report it. Scientist(s) complain about the media.

As a convention any medium of Media selectively report, change context, alter
the circumstances, do not present data in an objective fashion (FACTS) or
conversely OMIT data in a selective fashion so as to lead to an incorrect
conclusion based on bad data or bald-faced lies.

Sounds cynical, and it is.
Sounds critical and it is.
Sounds like an axiom and it is.

The media deal with death, destruction, and chaos period. Not interested in
constructive, creative activities, concepts, or precepts. These things would
put them out of business. It's the only hat they have to wear: Destruction.

There hundreds of scientific proofs that support this. One example is the
"60 Minutes" interview and tour of Palo Verde. The tours, interviews, and
all interaction was taped by "60 Minutes" and by the Utility. Point for
point the tape shows and highlights how the media altered data, discussions,
and answers to drive the viewer to a "Contra" position.

Any one of you RADSAFERS ever receive media support for any project?

Always my opinion...
