A Course in Radiation Protection Physics at Accelerators

Dear RADSAFE community:

I wish to bring the following to your attention.

The U. S. Particle Accelerator School is offering a course on accelerator
radiation physics that might be of interest to you. The title of the course
is "Radiation Physics, Regulation, and Management" but the main emphasis is
on the radiation physics part. The course will be offered at or near Rice
University in Houston Monday through Friday January 22-26,2001. Academic
credit of 1.5 semester hours can be received for successful completion of
this course. Also, the American Academy of Health
Physics has approved the award of 32 continuing education credits for
attending it. J. Donald Cossairt of FNAL will be teaching this course.
Fellowships are available.

If you are interested you can find out more by visiting the U. S. Particle
Accelerator School web site as follows:

The main USPAS web site is: http://fnalpubs.fnal.gov/uspas/welcome.html

Then click on "USPAS University Programs", then on "USPAS in Houston,
Texas".

Thank you.

Reg

P.S. I took this course in 1993. It is excellent. I will be assisting in
this coming course, and hope to meet some of you there!
