Valdor 2001

On June 10-14, 2001, the VALDOR Symposium will be held in Stockholm. VALDOR
means VALues in Decisions On Risk, and the Symposium is devoted to
decision-making in controversial issues, specifically the need for
transparency. The symposium will address the role of experts, media and
regulators in complex decisions, as well as procedures that can enhance
transparency. Special focus will be given to issues in biotechnology and
nuclear waste management. In comparison with many international conferences
much time will be devoted to in-depth discussion in plenary.

The official deadline for submitting abstracts is November 1st, but the
programme committee is able to handle abstracts coming in until November
10. All information on the symposium, as well as instructions for abstracts
(which can be submitted on line) is found on the conference web site:
www.congrex.com/valdor. Participation and paper submission is highly
recommended!
