Re: Delivery of radioactive sources

Dear Radsafers,

Thanks for your answers on the legal demands for sending a radioactive
source.

We were dealing with 250 microcurie Am-241 sources sent to us by a big US
company selling military material to the RNLAF.

With some help of US colleagues to help me through all the complex
exemptions of NRC regulations, it turned out that indeed the company should
have asked for a copy of our license before delivery.

I will inform them that next time we expect them to make their deliveries in
conformity with the law.
