Safety and Ecology Corporation is now staffing a Health Physicist Level II
in the Oak Ridge, TN area. 
Duties include: Provide professional level technical assistance in support
of Bechtel Jacobs RADCON Program activities. Such technical support may
include, but is not limited to, radiation protection and health and safety
areas such as dosimetry, bioassay, instrumentation, program/procedure
development, survey design and performance, dose assessment, regulatory
compliance, and data analysis. Perform such other duties and
responsibilities as may be assigned. 
Minimum Skills Required: Strong, comprehensive knowledge of radiation
protection fundamentals, including internal and external dosimetry,
shielding design, ALARA evaluation, regulatory requirements, program
development, instrumentation, health effects of radiation, hazard
assessment, survey design and implementation, laboratory analysis and
quality assurance. Demonstrated ability to implement and apply technical
knowledge and theory to practical field situation. 
Qualifications: A minimum of 10 years of experience in applied radiological
activities, including at least 5 years in the technical area covered by the
work to be performed. A BS degree in a radiation protection discipline, or a
BS degree in engineering, science or related field with an advanced degree
in health physics, radiation protection, or a closely related field. 
A DOE "L" or "Q" security clearance or the ability to obtain the same, as
required. 
Professional Certifications Required: Certified Health Physicist
(recommended).
