Re: Three mile island syndrome (oops on address)
Here is a nemonic to keep in mind regarding the use of nuclear electricity:
HOG
H is for homesis. The normal operation of a nuclear power plant actually
improves the health of those nearby.
O is for Oklo. Mother nature has already solved the "nuclear waste
problem", do nothing. Of course we have already improved on that. Also see
H above.
G is for Global warming. This is included because people against nuclear
power are generally proponents of the current global warming story.
Operating a nuclear power plant reduces production of CO2.
The first two of these items helped convert me from an anti-nuke activist to
a pro-nuke radical. Also, I observed objective evidence that proved that
anti-nukes lie.

to protect "us" are really the agencies that are making us scared,
depressed, up in arms.....etc. through there press releases, public
relations and just general philosophies (like EPA trying to regulate the
growing of hi-yield bio-tech corn????!!!!! WHAT?!There is no connection!
see cnn.com either in food or health.)

that nuclear power has a positive side? I know at one time, in 1964 @ the
New York's World's Fair, they were irradiating dimes and placing them in a
holder and giving them to the tourist
