RE: Cloud Chamber

For information regarding a simple method of building a cloud chamber, you
can also use the Boy Scouts of America "Atomic Energy" Merit Badge booklet.
These booklets are widely available and only cost about $2.50 to $3.00 each.
If you visit a local BSA Troop in your area, they would probably lend you
one from their library.

Periodically, some one asks about building a cloud chamber. In the current
issue of Scientific American, January 2001, there are directions under the
heading of the Amateur Scientist. The current issue can be found at
http://www.sciam.com/currentissue.html , and the article is at
http://www.sciam.com/2001/0101issue/0101amsci.html . Enjoy and try not hurt
yourselves.
