Oh yes, one thing further is the radon that is inevitably in this water.
Often the radon will be a few orders of magnitude higher than the radium 226
values, so if this is a drinking water well without aeration, the levels of
radon in a house using this water could be high enough to warrant remedial
action - in this case, discontinuing use of the well. Suspect any other
wells in the same formation nearby of being high in radon regardless of the
U or Ra values, as Ra and U are determined by the chemistry of the water and
the radon levels will be independent of that.
