My sincere thanks to Bjorn Cedarvall and Zack Clayton for responses to
my query: " ... can BSE (mad cow disease) in meat by handled by
irradiation ...?" If I understand you both, the size of the organism
is so small that the amount of radiation required to destroy it would
likely "destroy" the beef right along with it! Zack, I guess that
would truly qualify as well done steak - substitute charcoal briquets
anyone? :-)
