Yes, Jerry,
That is the LM I am talking about! And I do agree that tissue damage
is being done, but as far as anybody should be concerned, it is the total
effect that counts. The LM position you mention reminds me of the middle ages
when the defenders of a beleaguered castle had to fall back to the so-called
'reduit', the fortress within the fortress that could be held by less defenders
for the final stand.
When is LM's final stand finally going to come? I have to agree with
Max Planck here, when -- in a paraphrase -- the old LMers finally retire or die
out and are replaced by new people who have not put their reputations on the
line supporting a model that was in contradiction to the data from its
inception.
