Hi, Jay,
Yes, it is commonly accepted, that the protein powder made from waste, but
also from dead animals killed by various diseases, carried the prions, which
are able to reproduce in the living animal organism. For sheep their form of
BSE (called "scrabie") is known for centuries. It is also said that this
protein powder was not heated to the necessary temperature to make the
prions denaturate.
