Radiation Safety Position



Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH has an opening for a

Radiation Safety Specialist I in the Department of Occupational and

Environmental Safety.  We seek someone who is enthusiastic, productivity

oriented, computer skilled, and excels in both oral and written

communication. The successful candidate will be expected to effectively

accomplish usual radiation safety tasks such as laboratory radiation

surveys, instrumentation and equipment operation, laboratory waste pickup

and preparation of waste for disposal.  Competency using Microsoft Office

and relational database software is highly desirable.  In addition,

willingness to undertake broader responsibility is expected.  Prefer BA/BS

or Associates Degree in Health Physics or a closely related physical

science.  Requires at least 2 years of experience in the field of radiation

protection, Mac and PC computer literacy, and excellent oral and written

communication skills.



The Radiation Safety Group shares offices with the Environmental/Chemical

Safety Group, and cross training is encouraged.  CWRU is a complete

The starting salary is approximately $33,000.  Neither compensation for

interviewing or relocation will be provided.
