Re: The Precautionary Principle
There are a series of articles on (and mostly against) the Precautionary
Principle at http://www.iea.org.uk/issuepages/focuspp.shtml
Several of the "Links of Interest" are just that, including "The
Precautionary Principle, the Catastrophe Argument, and Pascal's Wager"
(http://www.abdn.ac.uk/cpts/cpts/manson1.hti).
For global warming, rather than follow the Precautionary Principle for
Catastrophes (PPC), the paper suggests a Modified Precautionary Principle
for Catastrophes (MPPC).
Oh, yeah, don't forget to vote if you visit the web site. If you're not
