'Total Indicative Dose'

Dear (european) colleagues

EC directive 98/83/EC requires drinking water to be monitored for something

called 'Total Indicative Dose'. This is to be not more than 0.1mSv/y.

Does anyone know what the definition of 'total indicative dose' is?
