Jim Barnes asked about cell phone battery life in a changed working environment.



The cell phone power level responds to signal strength.  This varies with building construction and distance from the nearest base station, among

other factors (e.g. whether there is direct line of sight to the base station antennas).  So less favourable signal strength conditions could account

for a greater rate of battery drain.  The signal strength should be indicated on the phone.
