Design of shielding of wall thickness of a PET scanning room



Radsafers,

  Thanks to all who can tell me the radiation protection needed when

designing the shielding wall thickness of a PET scanning room, injection

room when that center do not have a cyclotron but rather have FDG-F18

(511keV) to be delivered from a remote area?

   In terms of concrete thickness, lead thickness, how many mm of wall

thickness is needed?

 Working   Condition : 10 patients per day

                       10mCi/ patient of FDG-18

                       Room  size = 2m x 2m
