Announcement

I'd like to call to your attention the August 27-31 Monte Carlo

training course in Chicago, Illinois, that I will be teaching along with

Gregg McKinney and Laurie Waters. It will:

   * be our first intermediate-level course, beneficial to both

     beginning and advanced users;

   * cover many topics - geometry, variance reduction, sources,

     tallies, statistics, criticality, physics - common to all the

     LANL Monte Carlo particle transport codes;

   * cover powerful new features such as interactive plotting,

     macrobody geometry, superimposed-mesh variance reduction,

     photoneutrons, and more;

   * cover the additional capabilities unique to MCNPX such as

     mesh tallies, angle bias, and high-energy transport of many

     different particles.

I'd like to tell you more about this course and similar ones planned

in Los Alamos (September 24-28) and Oak Ridge (October 26-30).

Please contact me via e-mail for more information.
