With regard to the environmental article by Bjorn Lomborg, seeking envrionmental advice from a statistician is somewhat akin to having brain surgery performed by a proctologist. I don't care how"green" he was in a former life, unless he has some good credentials in environmentally related science, his statistical arguments may not be valid. They may reflect outcomes, but, if not supported by an understanding of the actual underlying mechanisms, have no predictive value
As alway, just my own thoughts.
