You know, Tom Hayden, Jane Fonda Turner's husband in the 60s was all for Nuclear power when he thought that reactors would be apt. sized units! If memory serves I remember a publication of his saying how great Nukes were going to be because they could be controlled by the apt. super sort of like the local school board runs the schools!

The kickers are the use of molten lithium-6 for in place of control rods

and liquid sodium for cooling.
