The general description of the position follows:  Supervises and leads

projects and activities of the Industrial Licensing Project.  Work involves

planning, developing, and/or supervising project teams for industrial

licensing activities, including industrial radiography, well logging

services, and research and development facilities; and coordinating special

environmental projects in the areas of health physics (radiological health).

Performs highly advanced health physics (radiological health) work to

evaluate proposed equipment, facilities, procedures and personnel for

adequacy to minimize danger to public health and safety or the environment.

Plans, assigns, and/or supervises the work of others in carrying out

assigned projects. Works under direction with extensive latitude for the use

of initiative and independent judgement.  Serves as project leader and/or

project team member in other Bureau activities as needed.
