Position Notice
EES CORPORATION is
seeking Environmental Science Technicians to provide field sampling and
monitoring, documentation of activities, and general support to field sampling
operations primarily involving soils and groundwater. Successful
candidates will perform environmental sampling and field procedures, field
documentation, operate sampling equipment and real-time field monitoring
instruments and other functions associated with soil and groundwater investigations
in support of remedial projects. Position includes classroom and
on-the-job training to gain a broad, working knowledge of field sampling
and monitoring while teamed with more experienced staff. Advanced
assignments are performed with oversight from an experienced lead technician
or supervisor while basic, routine sampling responsibilities are performed
with only initial or intermittent oversight. Technician's fundamental
responsibilities include:

Review project-specific plans, permits and safety documents and implement
field activities in accordance with specifications and procedures.

Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate field activity logs, sample
documents, and field/analytical procedures and records.

Perform quality control tasks to ensure the validity of field data.
Coordinate and plan field activities with team leader and coach, project
leads, and support groups.

Operate and maintain physical testing and analytical field equipment.

Assist with developing new field sampling and testing systems to meet client
needs and assist with procedure development. Limited use of computer
software and systems to process environmental-related data may be required.
A minimum of a High School Diploma and three (3) years related experience
are required.
The position will be located at the Fernald Environmental Management
Project in Fernald, Ohio.
