emergency radiation lab procedures

Dear Radsafers,



I've been requested to ask for any copies you are willing to share

regarding emergency instructions for all laboratory areas where radioactive

materials are used.  This is for an academic setting and should include the

following:



1)   what immediate action should be taken to prevent contamination of

personnel and work areas

          eg :  turning off the ventilation, area evacuation. spill

containment



2)   emergency telephone numbers including responsible party



3)   instruction to personnel on appropriate methods for re-entering,

decontaminating and recovering facilities that may have been accidently

     contaminated.
