TITLE: RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER

LOCATION:  WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA



DUTIES

Act as the agent of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, North

Carolina Baptist Hospitals, Inc. radiation and laser safety programs and The

Wake Forest University for radiation licensing matters with the state of

North Carolina; supervise Radiation Safety Program Personnel; Establish,

implement and maintain safety control and assessment program in conjunction

with the Radiation Safety Committee.



QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Master's Degree in Physics, Radiation Physics, Health Physics or related

fields with board certification (e.g. American Board of Radiology, American

Board of Medical Physics, American Board of Health Physics or American Board

of Science in Nuclear Medicine).  Six years of experience as Radiation

Safety Officer or an Assistant Radiation Safety Officer at a major medical

institution under a NRC license or agreement state license.
