Presentation Announcement - Wireless Emergency Data Transmission 



This Thursday, October 4, there will be a presentation to inform people

of turn key instrumentation which allows the wireless transmission of

information from any instrument equipped with an RS-232 interface and

this includes beta and low and high energy gamma radiation monitoring

results. The focus of this instrumentation package is to allow the

transmission of data using a Siemons transmission device coupled with

Eberline radiological monitoring equipment. A novel feature of the

package is the incorporation of GPS to define the exact location at

which monitorings are being done. The system has the potential for use

in emergency as well as routine situations and is presently in use by

USAF emergency response teams. Particulars for the presentation are:
