809 Area Code Warning

There apparently is a new scam out there now in which the unsuspecting

victim will receive a message either via phone, voice mail, or e-mail

urging them to call a phone number beginning with area code 809. If you

receive such a message DON'T CALL IT!!! If you do, you can be charged up

to $2,425 PER MINUTE!!!. This area code is in the Bahamas so the scammer

is not covered by U.S. laws.

I have checked into the authenticity of this and it appears to be true.

It has been verified by Verizon and you can get the details by visiting

their wersite at www.wits2001.com.
