tone it down, please

Folks, can we please tone down the negative personal rhetoric? I appreciate

that we are having strong debate on some controversial topics. Strong

opinions make for a healthy exchange, and (hopefully) eventually to more

enlightened readers and participants. Words like "cronies", "mafia",

"bouncers", etc., however, serve only to inflame and not to inform.

Questioning credentials, soundness of studies, etc. is fair game, but please

show respect for people even if you don't agree with them. If not for common

courtesy on the list, could we be a bit more respectful just because it's

the holidays?

Thank you.

Mike
