Safety Department has a challenging opportunity for an individual to perform

safety inspections of radiation facilities, conduct environmental surveys,

participate in the development and implementation of campus radiation safety

programs, provide consultation and training regarding radiation safety,

prepare reports and make recommendations on safety management issues, cost

containment, and health hazards and respond to emergency situations



Requires Bachelor's degree (preferably in health physics, medical physics,

physics, etc.) and three years of related work experience in radiation

safety operations.   May require training related to occupational safety and

health, environmental compliance, shipping of hazardous materials and/or

ionizing radiation. Starting salary range $33,000 - $45,500 (Commensurate

with education and experience).
