President Bush's Yucca Mountain Decision

You can help extend the future of the nuclear industry by letting President Bush know you support Yucca Mountain by calling the White House and urging the President to recommend Yucca Mountain as the permanent repository for used nuclear fuel. The White House phone number is (202) 456-1414, extension 1. Currently, thousands of calls opposing Yucca Mountain are flooding the White House.

As previously reported, President George Bush is expected to move swiftly, possibly as soon as this week, to approve construction of a nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada. The passage of the Yucca Mountain decision this year is vital if the nuclear industry wants a long-term future in this country.
