AVAILABLE SCIENTIST POSITION AT BECHTEL NEVADA
SCIENTIST
Bechtel Nevada, a prime contractor to the National Nuclear Security
Administration (NNSA), has an immediate opening for a Scientist to conduct
performance audits and programmatic-based audits for the Resource
Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA). Work location is in Las Vegas, Nevada.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.
Successful candidate will review low-level radioactive waste (LLW) and mixed
LLW programs across the NNSA complex; and assess waste generator programs
for compliance with established requirements, NNSA Orders, state and federal
regulations. An important part of this position is training to become a
certified Lead Auditor and Subject Matter Expert in waste characterization
including waste characterization for the Radioactive Waste Acceptance
Program (RWAP).
Successful candidate shall possess a minimum B.S. degree in Environmental
Sciences, Health Physics, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related
field, or a combination of relevant training and experience, plus 5 years
relevant experience in RCRA environmental regulations, DOE Order 435.1,
quality assurance principles, and waste management. Must be able to obtain
Lead Auditor certification
