Industrial Hygiene Technician Needed

Safety and Ecology Corporation (SEC)is now hiring an Industrial Hygiene

Technician in the Ohio area.



Details:  	Location:  Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant

		Start Date:  Immediately

		Pay:  Depends on experience, education, & certifications

		Duration:  Long-term - Full-time



Summary of Duties:

Conducts IH activities on assigned projects to include air sampling noise

surveys, temperature assessments, etc...Performs instrumentation calibration

and general maintenance of IH equipment.  Obtains bulk samples for

characterization of material.  Development of procedures and instructions.

Provides project-planning support to include identifying and implementing of

IH and chemical safety requirements.  Performs safety inspections of

worksites and assists in AHA development.  Serves as alternate to ES&H

Manager.



Requirements:

Understanding of IH and Safety issues as defined by scope of work and

associated understanding of Occupational Health performing requirements.

Demonstrated ability to develop and follow procedures and task requirements.

Demonstrated ability to appropriately document survey and data collection

results.  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and

verbal) with field, project personnel and client representatives.

Demonstrated ability to review and perform IH data calculations and to

interpret and explain results.  Ability to identify deficiencies and to

determine and facilitate corrective action and to monitor work.  Valid

Driver's License.  DOE Core Certification attainable.  Medically qualified

to wear a respirator, 40 Hour HAZWOPER, and DOE "L" or "Q" Clearance or the

ability to obtain the same.



Desirable:

OHST qualified.  Familiar with IH instrumentation and sampling protocols.

Applicants with currently active DOE "L" or "Q" Clearance.  DOE Site

experience highly desirable.
