I would be surprised that the state radiological health department 

hasn't performed a routine inspection of the x-ray units. I believe 

that all states have a functioning program. At minimum, the 

evaluation should include collimator alignment, dose output, timer 

accuracy and kvP accuracy.



If Ruth's experience isn't an anomaly, it amazes me even more that 

this dentist hasn't taken steps to "FIX" his process.



I agree with Paul .. this dentist's patients should look for another 

practioner, and, contact the local radiological health department, 

and request that this dentist be paid a visit, pronto!
