Otto's entire message was right on target, and I have saved it

for future reference. 



His recommendation quoted above is what all of us on radsafe

should do. Behavioral psychologists say that there are three

ways to change behavior: 1) reward appropriate behavior,  2)

punish inappropriate behavior, 3) ignore inappropriate behavior.





They say that the most effective way is #3, simply ignore

inappropriate behavior. No matter how emotionally satisfying it

is to point out how absurd someone's post is, the best way to

stop them from saying absurd things is to simply ignore them.

Then they go away. Their personal payoff is the attention that

we give them. Please, stop paying them....
