The person selected for the position will supervise and lead projects and

activities of the Medical and Academic Licensing Program.  Work involves

planning, developing, and/or supervising program teams for licensing

activities for medical and academic uses with radioactive material; and

coordinating special environmental projects in the areas of health physics

(radiological health).  Performs highly advanced health physics

(radiological health) work to evaluate proposed equipment, facilities,

procedures and personnel for adequacy to minimize danger to public health

and safety of the environment.  Plans, assigns and/or supervises the work of

others in carrying out assigned projects.  Works under direction with

extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Serves as project leader and/or project team member in other Bureau

activities as needed.
