Betreff: Radioactive contamination in drinking water

Hello Everybody,

I would appreciate receiving useful information (literature, calibration,

standards, problems ...) on the use of LSC for

Gross alpha, Gross Beta, Ra-226 and Ra-228 determination in drinking water

from ground wells.

-------------------------------------------

Dear collegue,

I have done thousands of measurements for gross alpha+beta, for Rn-222 and

Ra-226 in drinking water by LSC and have recently introduced with a collegue

a very fast method to measure simultaneously the concentrations of Ra-226,

Ra-228, Ra-224 and Pb-210 by LSC.

Furthermore I have already been twice in Saudi Arabia (Riad) to train people

for measurement of gross alpha+beta, Rn-222 and Ra-226 by LSC.

You are welcome to contact me personally - please at my private e-mail

address - and to give the details of what you need to know, what kind of

instruments, infrastructure and personnel you have available and what your

plans are.

Best regards,

Franz Schoenhofer
