State of Kansas Supervisory Job Openings
The State of Kansas Radiation Control Program has the following two
supervisory positions open. Please follow the instructions to apply. Both

Environmental Scientist IV (two positions)
The Dept. of Health and Environment is seeking qualified candidates for two
Environmental Scientist IV positions (Req# 037480 & Req#03784) in the
Bureau of Air and Radiation in Topeka. The duties for these positions are
Req#037480: Supervise the Radioactive Material and X-ray Unit responsible
for the day to day operation and ensuring the effective and efficient
regulation of the use of radiation in the state. Req#037484: Supervise the
Emergency Planning and Environmental Monitoring Unit responsible for the
day to day operation of the unit, and coordinate emergency response
planning and preparedness efforts with utilities and other agencies of
state and federal, county and local government.
Requires: Bachelor's degree and independent complex work experience in
environmental/agricultural science. Prefer: Experience and education in
radiological health, health physics, natural science or engineering.
Adequate background in mathematics. Starting salary $46,966 annually, plus
excellent benefits.
