Re: Recommendation for new format

Sandy -

You mention Yahoo! groups, and I personally think that hosting Radsafe as a Yahoo! group would be the best of both worlds. I host a radiological emergency planning group on there, and as moderator, I know that you, as an individual user, can choose whether you want every e-mail sent to you immediately, a daily digest, only "special announcements", or no e-mail at all. Messages are archived, so you can go back and look at them, and (I think) you can sort them by date, thread, author, etc.

Hi Bob,

What you show is how many bulletin boards run, i.e., the Yahoo E-

Groups, for example.

I personally like the current format in that postings are sent to

subscribers immediately, and, the usefulness of the posting can be

determined immediately and responded to immediately (based on user

preference). The bulletin format doesn't require much administration.

That is a benefit. However, a bulletin board can be cumbersome in

some cases, for wading through the various threads.
