RE: Deadly Waste

Speaking of accidents.....and this is directed toward noone in particular......How many of us remember good old statistics from college? I spent many a joyful hour pulling population after population from the 'skittles' bowl.....aaahhhhh....those were the days. Now ...to the point....Statistically,which has been involved in more fatal accidents....cars ..... or nuclear plants? Statistically....which has claimed more lived....Nuclear power (and you can take into account EVERY death attributable to nuclear source including bombs and Chernobl) or cigarettes? How about hand-guns versus nuclear waste dumps? Drugs versus Nuclear power plants? Heck folks..... more people die from food poisoning each year in this country than from living close to a dump or power plant. So why.....with so many other things killing us off... are there so many people ranting and raving about the nuclear industry in general? LACK OF EDUCATION. That's my guess anyway. There should be more stress on educati!

!

ng the general public with realistic and TRUE numbers/statistics. And for those of you out there who insist on spreading misinformation to further your personal/political/financial goals.....shame on you. I think it is high time for a big ol' reality check.

An accident in or near LV would probably prompt a lot of people to learn about radiation and its affects.

Does anyone truly believe that anything short of an asteroid impact will

slow down the thirst for the potential rewards the casino tables offer?
