As I-131 may be considered to be "chronic" rather than "acute" radiation, 

the fractionated scheme probably works pretty much like the 60 mCi at once 

dose.  If the doc is trying to get "resting" cells to come alive by 

fractionating, then it might be better.  Maybe the practice is only 

licensed for 15 mCi I-131 tops?
